The advantage of beer cocktails is that you can drink them by day, with lunch and in good company over the weekend. And now, with the arrival of spring, is a good time to start enjoying them. Don't miss them!

Brass Monkey

This cocktail is ideal to enjoy your lunch. Its citrus flavour will give freshness to your palate.

Ingredients:

  • 120 ml orange juice
  • 360 ml wheat beer
  • Angostura bitters

Directions:

  1. Pour the orange juice into a glass of beer previously cooled in the refrigerator.
  2. Add the beer gradually until filling the glass.
  3. Garnish the top with a few drops of Angostura bitters.

Ginger Shandy

This cocktail of slightly spicy flavour thanks to ginger, is a particular way of enjoying a cocktail over the weekend.

Ingredients:

  • 120 ml ginger beer
  • 180 ml Pale Ale
  • Candied ginger

Directions:

  1. Put ice in a shallow glass until halfway full.
  2. Pour the ginger beer in the glass with ice.
  3. Gradually add the Pale Ale until filling the glass.
  4. Garnish the cocktail with a little candied ginger on the edge.

You can replace the ginger ale, but look for one that is not too sweet, such as Bruce Costes.

Michelada

The Michelada is a cocktail that mixes different flavours. You can enjoy it right now just having the right ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 120 ml Pale Ale
  • 120 ml tomato juice
  • 15 ml lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon togarashi (optional)
  • Salt

Directions:

  1. Frost the edge of a whisky glass with sriracha or rimming salt. If they are not available, you can mix salt with cayenne pepper.
  2. Fill the whiskey glass with ice.
  3. Add all ingredients except beer and mix.
  4. Fill the glass with the Pale Ale.
  5. Serve immediately.
