Cocktails with Campari offer such a characteristic taste that it makes them distinctively Italian. We present some of these combined and completely renovated recipes which were created by the finalists of Campari Bartender of the Year 2015. The second edition of this competition was held a few days ago in Milan, Italy, the winner being the bartender from Turin, Andrea Dracos.
Made by the winner of the contest, as the Best Barman Campari 2015, this cocktail contains the following ingredients.
- 3 cl Campari, Cinzano and Cynar
- Cinzano Vermouth 3 cl 1757
- 2 cl Cynar
- Lemon zest
The trick is to mix the Italian appetizers, such as Campari, Cinzano and Cynar, the latter known for having a secret formula that includes artichokes and 13 different herbs. These flavors are blended and offer surprising tastes that renew the world of aperitifs.
Another of the finalists who developed an original cocktail with Campari, tequila and limoncello. Here there are the ingredients:
- White tequila 3 cl
- 3 cl Campari
- 8 cl fresh grapefruit rose
- 2 cl limoncello
- 1 sprig of marjoram
The contrast of tequila, with Campari and limoncello, the most famous Italian lemon liqueur, offers an explosive mixture.

A Campari cocktail created by yet another finalist of this competition is starring lemon, and grapefruit appetiser Cynar. The acidity of grapefruit along with lemon is strong and powerful, in a very good cocktail, which is finished decorating the glass with twigs of bergamot and thyme.
- 1 cl sugar syrup
- 1 cl lemon verbena liqueur
- 2 cl Cynar
- 4 ounces Campari
- 4 cl grapefruit juice
- 2 slices of lemon
Campari 1L: a vermouth from Italy with an alcohol strength of 25º.
Cynar 1L: a vermouth from Italy with 16.5º of alcohol.
